Something Had to Give

You may have noticed that I’ve been pretty slack on the blog writing and social media interactions for a few months. Since early this year, actually.

There’s been a major illness in my little family, and it was a virtual full-time job. We’re through the worst of it and well on the mend, but it occupied a lot of my time and headspace for months. That and writing strategies for a handful of clients was really all I could manage. Something had to give, and that something was content.

Things are basically back to normal now for my family and my work, but I was hoping to backfill my blog with a bunch of new content to fill it out before bookending this period with a newsletter. You know, just manufacture some time and blog my brains out! With my normal consulting and training work – and all the related travel – hotting up, that turned out to be unrealistic.

So, I’ve decided to take the nuclear option. I’m not going to try to make up for a sparse few months. Instead, I’m going to start fresh, with a newsletter in the next couple of days. After that, I’ve got literally dozens of half-written blogs and infographics ready to polish off and post.

Thank you all for your patience.
